Questions readers send in
Q.Is this legal for core roles?
A. Contract staffing is common in Nigeria and we follow the Labour Act and sector rules. We advise against outsourcing roles where the law or your sector regulator does not allow it.
Q.Can contract staff become permanent?
A. Yes. After six months you can take them on with no transfer fee.
Q.What about unions?
A. We work with recognised unions and keep proper records of every agreement.
Q.How much notice do you need to start?
A. Two weeks for most services. Payroll ideally starts at the beginning of a month, with the parallel run in the month before.
