An HR department for companies that do not have one
Founded in Agodi in 2014, Talentforge now looks after the people side of 140 employers (example) across Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara and Lagos.
AGODI. Talentforge began with two people and a borrowed office near the Secretariat. Our founder, Mrs Folake Adeniran (an example name for this demo), had spent a decade running HR for a bottling plant in Ibadan and kept meeting smaller business owners who had the same problems her plant had, without the HR team to fix them.
The first clients were a private school in Jericho and a pharmacy chain in Dugbe. Both needed the basics: payroll that was right first time, contracts that would stand up, pension that was actually remitted. Word travelled the way it does in Ibadan, from one owner to the next at weddings and church harvests.
Today we employ 46 people (example), pay more than six thousand staff a month on behalf of clients, and run recruitment and training from our own rooms in Agodi. We are still independent and still answer the phone ourselves.
We are not here to replace the owner's judgement. We are here so the owner has the facts, the forms and the time to use it.

Recruitment desk opens. First bulk hire: 40 sales reps for a distributor.

Contract staffing begins, with our own HMO scheme for contract staff.

Compliance desk launches after a wave of pension audits in the state.

Training rooms open on Secretariat Road. ITF reimbursement support added.

Where we work
From Agodi to the whole South West
Our advisers spend most days on clients' sites: factories in Oluyole and Lagelu, schools in Bodija and Akobo, clinics in Ring Road, distributors in Ogbomoso and Abeokuta. Lagos clients are served by a small team that travels up and down the expressway each week.
We keep a generator and solar backup in the office so payroll runs never wait for power.
