Referrals
Do I need a referral?
No, not to see us. You can book any specialist directly. Some HMOs ask for a referral from your primary care doctor before they pay, and our HMO desk will tell you if yours does when you book.
If you are referred by another hospital, ask them to email the letter to hello@avenor.example or send it on WhatsApp. We attach it to your record before your visit.
Working together
Centres that talk to each other.
Many problems need more than one team. These are the joint clinics that run every week.

High risk pregnancy clinic

Fracture and rehabilitation clinic
Orthopaedics and physiotherapy, with X-ray on the same corridor. Wednesdays.
Kidney and blood pressure clinic
Kidney care with family medicine, and dialysis planning if needed. Fridays.
Questions
About our centres.
Can I see two specialists on the same day?
Often, yes. Book the first visit and tell the care desk, and they will try to line the second up straight after.
Do children see different doctors?
Children are seen in the Children’s centre by paediatricians, with their own waiting room, ward and play team.
Which centres are open at weekends?
Emergency, maternity, laboratory and pharmacy run around the clock. Family medicine opens on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
