How it started
The choir began in 2016 with six voices and a borrowed keyboard. Today twenty-two residents sing on Mondays and Fridays, led by a retired music teacher who still taps the time on her walking stick.
The idea
A grandson suggested the choir sing at his school's carol service. The headmistress said yes, then two churches asked too, and suddenly there was a tour.
On the road
We left at 06:30 to beat the traffic, with cushions, water, three carers, a nurse and a great deal of chin chin.
The best moment
At the school hall, two hundred children sang the last verse with them. Mrs Ogunleye, ninety-one, cried and then insisted on an encore.
Next year
The choir has been invited back to all four places. They are already rehearsing.
