Plan your consultation journey
Choose an area, a procedure if you have one in mind, and a first date. The planner draws your whole route with example dates, from your enquiry to the one-year review, cooling-off included.

How the planner works
Built on our own rules
The dates come from the way Lumiere actually works, so what you see is close to what a coordinator would offer.
Cooling-off is fixed
At least 14 days for smaller procedures and 21 to 28 for larger ones, counted from the day after your consultation.
Theatre on two days
Surgery dates fall on Tuesdays or Thursdays, the only days we operate, so the planner moves your date to the next one.
Travel shapes the stay
The further you travel, the longer we suggest staying near Effurun, so the first dressing check and any worry are close by.
After you plan
A person checks every plan
When you book from the planner, a patient coordinator reads your answers and calls to confirm the dates. If your time off work looks too short, or the trip too tight, they will say so.
You can change or cancel a consultation up to 48 hours before at no cost. Nothing about the planner commits you to surgery.
Good questions to bring
Five questions for your surgeon
Patients who arrive with questions written down tend to leave with clearer plans.
Questions
About planning
Can I shorten the cooling-off period?
No. It is the same for everyone, including returning patients and people with flights booked.
Do I pay anything to use the planner?
No. The planner is free and sends nothing. You only pay when you book a consultation.
What if my dates change?
Coordinators rearrange consultations at no cost up to 48 hours before, and surgery dates up to two weeks before.
Can I plan for someone else?
Yes, but the person having surgery must attend the consultation and decide for themselves.
