The Lumiere house
A house in Effurun, rebuilt for surgery
Lumiere opened in 2019 in a converted family house off Airport Road. We kept the garden and the quiet, and rebuilt everything behind the walls to theatre standard.

Why a house
Small on purpose
Most people arrive nervous. A crowded waiting room, a television and a queue do not help. So Lumiere sees no more than eight consultation patients a day and operates on two days a week, with never more than three patients on a list.
That pace costs us volume. It gives our surgeons time to say the difficult things, to draw your plan slowly and to see you again before you decide. It gives our nurses time to sit with you after theatre.

Three principles
What we hold to
These three lines are printed on the wall of the consultation suite, and every new member of the team signs them.
Time before surgery
At least 14 days between consultation and surgery, and 21 or more for larger operations. No exceptions for weddings, flights or discounts.
Honesty over persuasion
No outcome is promised, no photographs of other people are used to sell, and risks are written down in words you can read at home.
Care that continues
Follow-up for a year is included in every fee, by video if you live far away, because healing does not end when the stitches come out.

Common questions
About the clinic
Is Lumiere a hospital?
No. We are a day-surgery and short-stay clinic with two theatres and six recovery suites. We do not accept emergencies, and we only operate on people who are well enough for planned surgery.
Do you take HMO cards?
Cosmetic surgery is rarely covered by HMO plans. Some reconstructive work, such as scar revision after injury or breast reduction for pain, may be partly covered. Our coordinators will check with your HMO before your consultation.
Can I visit before booking?
Yes. Saturday mornings are open for short tours of the arrival lounge, recovery suites and garden. Theatres are not shown, for infection control.
Is there parking?
Yes, eight spaces inside the gate, and a driver can collect you from Warri airport or a hotel.
Begin with a conversation, not a commitment
Plan your journey online in three minutes, then book an hour with a consultant surgeon. The N50,000 consultation fee is credited to your procedure if you go ahead, and there is never pressure to.
