The Kano hub opens, and the road north gets two days shorter
A chilled store and five vans in Sharada bring next day delivery to Kano city and two day delivery across the northern states.
For years, a carton ordered in Kano left Sagamu on a trunk run through Abuja and arrived four or five days later. Chilled stock spent most of that time in a box. From this month, it waits in a cold room twenty minutes from most of our Kano customers.
The hub in Sharada holds two weeks of our fastest moving lines, a cold room at 2 to 8°C on its own generator, and five temperature logged vans. Ibrahim Musa, who leads the group in the north, hired a team of fourteen from Kano and Kaduna.
Kano pharmacies that order by 4pm now receive stock the next morning. Kaduna and Katsina move to two days. Sokoto and Maiduguri drop from five days to three on scheduled weekly runs.
Example figures for this demo.
For pharmacies, the change is mostly about confidence: ordering smaller quantities more often, without worrying about the next delivery. For health programmes in the north east, it means bulk orders of rehydration salts reach their warehouses before the rainy season peaks.
The hub also takes stock for brand owners who use our distribution service, so smaller Nigerian brands can reach northern shelves without building their own warehouse.
