Retirement planning

Your pension account is a good start. On its own it rarely pays for the retirement people picture. We work out the income you will want, what your RSA may give, and how to close the gap.

What you get

Inside your retirement plan

  • A retirement income target in today's and future naira
  • A review of your RSA balance, contributions and fund choice
  • A plan for voluntary contributions and other savings beside your pension
  • Where to live, health costs and support for parents, priced in
  • A drawdown plan for the first ten years of retirement

How it works

From first conversation to steady progress

Every plan follows the same calm sequence, with a second adviser checking each step.

01

Your picture of retirement

Where you want to live, what a normal month costs, who you still support.

02

What you already have

RSA statements, property, savings and any business you could sell.

03

The gap and the plan

One monthly figure, split across your pension and other accounts.

04

Quarterly steering

We check progress and adjust as salary, family and markets change.

A worked example

Example: Mrs A, 42, teacher turned school owner

Wants N250,000 a month in today's money from 60. Her RSA is projected to cover about a third. Plan: N148,000 a month across voluntary pension contributions and a balanced portfolio, at an example rate of 16% a year, rising with her income.

Example rates for illustration only. They are not promised returns: investments can fall as well as rise, and past performance is not a guide to the future.

Questions

Retirement questions

Still unsure?

Can I add to my RSA?

Yes. Voluntary contributions can go into your pension account alongside your employer's. We show where extra money works best for you.

What if I am self-employed?

You can open a pension account and contribute directly. Many of our business-owner clients do, alongside other investments.

Is it too late at 55?

It is never too late to plan. The plan looks different: more focus on income, less on growth, and often a later or phased retirement.

Will you manage my RSA?

Your pension fund administrator manages it. We advise on fund choice and contributions and keep it in the plan.

Start with a planning review
