About us, since 2014
Built by people who ran fleets
Citadel Fleet started with two trucks, one tracker and a fuel bill that did not add up. Ten years on we look after more than 1,200 vehicles from Barnawa, Kaduna.
Our story
We know the road because we drove it
In 2014 our founder Garba Danladi ran a small haulage business between Kaduna and Kano. His trucks were busy, but the business was not making money. A borrowed tracker showed why: trucks idling for hours, detours to villages that were not on any delivery note, and diesel bought for 400 kilometres that only covered 300.
He fixed his own fleet first. Then neighbours in the Kakuri industrial area asked him to do the same for theirs. Citadel Fleet grew from that: a fleet management company for businesses that cannot afford to lose money on the road.
Today we combine the tracker, the fuel card, the workshop and the people who watch them. That last part matters most. Technology shows the problem. A controller who picks up the phone at 2am solves it.
Timeline
Ten years on the corridor
2014
Two trucks and a tracker
Our founder, a former haulage manager, starts tracking his own two trucks on the Kaduna to Kano road and sees how much fuel goes missing.
2016
First clients
Three Kaduna distributors ask for the same service. The first control room is a desk and two screens on Ahmadu Bello Way.
2019
The Barnawa yard
We move to Kachia Road with a four-bay workshop, so we can fix what the tracker finds.
2022
Abuja and Kano
Service points open in Idu and Sharada as clients grow along the corridor.
2025
Over 1,200 vehicles
The control room runs three shifts with backup power, and the workshop grows to nine bays.
What we hold to
Four rules for every controller and technician
- 01
Facts before blame
We bring the tracker data to every conversation about a driver, so decisions are fair.
- 02
Pick up the phone
An alert without a call is just noise. Every serious alert gets a human call within minutes.
- 03
Show the receipt
Every part, every litre and every invoice line comes with proof you can check.
- 04
Naira, not jargon
Our reports speak in money and kilometres, the language owners use.
