Most guests arrive on Friday tired from the week and the drive. Here is how a slow weekend usually unfolds, hour by hour. Nothing here is required; it is simply what tends to feel good.
Friday
2pm. Arrive, leave the car with the porter and take a glass of cold zobo in the garden. Your room is usually ready; if not, the pools are open to you.
4pm. A first water circuit. Steam, sauna, cool plunge, warm pool. Most people go round twice and then lie down for longer than they expected.
7:30pm. Catfish pepper soup in the garden kitchen, early, so you sleep well. The tea tray in your room has the evening blend.
The first night is always the deepest sleep. People tell us that more than anything else.
Saturday
6:30am. Sunrise flow on the pool deck as the light comes over the hills. Breakfast afterwards, slowly.
11am. The still water ritual, two hours, then lunch on the terrace. The afternoon is for a book, a swim and a nap.
5:30pm. Breath and stillness by the pool, the same rhythm as the water on our website. Dinner at the long table if you want company, or on your deck if you do not.
Sunday
7:30am. The garden walk with Tunde, about three kilometres under shade.
12pm. Check out, then stay on with a day pass until sunset. A late lunch of ofada and garden stew is the usual send-off, and Abuja traffic is lighter by then.
