Our story
A garden first, a resort second
Tranquil Bay began as a family's weekend garden in the Asokoro hills. It is still family run, still built around the old spring, and still the quietest place we know in Abuja.
How it began
Hauwa's garden
Hauwa Bello grew up in Zaria, where her grandmother kept an herb garden and a pot of lemongrass tea on the fire. After twenty years in Abuja offices, she and her husband Danjuma wanted somewhere to slow down that did not mean a flight abroad.
They found six acres around a spring-fed pond, planted it for three years before building anything, and opened six garden rooms in 2019. The pond became the reflecting pool, and the pool became the heart of the place.
