On the day.

A call the evening before
The surveyor calls the access contact to confirm the time and directions.

Arrival
Surveyors arrive in a marked car with ID. Most inspections take two to four hours.

Access
We need every room, the roof space if safe, and the boundaries.

Before we leave
A quick word on anything urgent, such as a gas smell or exposed wiring.

Preparing the property.
Keys
Keys for every room, the gate, the roof hatch and any outbuildings.
Documents
Survey plan, building approval and any repair receipts you hold.
Utilities on
Water and power on so we can check taps, pumps and sockets.
Clear access
Space around the walls and under sinks where possible.

Questions about inspections.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, with a day's notice, at no charge.
Do you inspect in the rain?
Yes, unless it is unsafe on a roof or slope. Rain often shows leaks well.
Is there a payment now?
No. We invoice after confirming the scope, and the report is released when paid.
Do you work on Sundays?
No. Saturday mornings are available.
