5G reaches every ward in Abeokuta South
Twenty-six new 5G sites switched on this month, and home internet installations in the city have doubled since July (example figures).
What changed
Our engineers added 26 small 5G sites across Abeokuta South, mostly on existing rooftops and poles, so streets did not need digging. Customers in Oke-Ilewo, Ibara, Kuto and parts of Panseke now see 5G on compatible phones without changing their SIM.
5G home internet is available in the same areas, and our installers can usually set up a router within two working days of an order.
Power that keeps sites on
Every new site has solar panels and batteries sized for a full night without grid power. Average downtime from power cuts across our Ogun sites fell from 41 minutes a month to under 6 (example figures).
What comes next
Asero and Lafenwa are next, scheduled between January and March 2027. Check your street on the coverage page, and we will send an SMS when 5G arrives if you register your interest at a store.
Signal is only useful if it is there when you need it.
