Resultsp. 20
Reading your report.
How results reach you, what the numbers and flags on the report mean, and why the next step is always a conversation with your doctor. We test and report; we do not diagnose.

How to read it
Result and unit
Each line shows what was measured and the unit, such as mmol/L.
Reference range
The range found in most healthy adults for that method. It is a guide, not a pass mark.
Flags
H or L marks a value above or below the range. Many flagged results are not a cause for concern; your doctor decides.
Deliveryp. 21
How results reach you
Secure link
An SMS and email with a link and a PIN. The link works for 90 days; after that ask client care for a copy.
Your doctor
If you add your doctor at booking, they receive the report at the same time as you.
Printed copy
Collect a stamped printed copy at the walk-in centre, or ask for it to be dropped with your next pickup.
Critical resultsp. 22
When we call
Some results need attention the same day. When a value falls in a critical range, a scientist calls you and your doctor before the report is sent. We will explain what the lab found and that you should speak with a doctor promptly, but we will not diagnose or advise on treatment.
A flag on a report is the start of a conversation with your doctor, never the end of one.

About results
Can Helix explain what my result means?
Our scientists can explain what was measured and how. What a result means for your health depends on your history and needs a doctor.
A result is flagged. Should I worry?
Many flagged results are minor or expected. Please share the report with your doctor, who can put it in context.
Can I get results in mg/dL?
Yes, ask when booking or message client care.
How long do you keep my results?
Reports are stored securely for the period required for medical laboratories, and are only shared with you and people you name.
