About us

Small, steady and local

Stillwater opened in Barnawa in 2015 with one room and one counsellor. Today five counsellors see people from across Kaduna, and online from Kano to Calabar.

What we hold to

Four promises we can keep

Privacy

What you say stays in the room. The only exceptions are a serious risk of harm, or a court order, and we explain these in the first session.

Respect

For your faith, your family, your language and your pace.

Honesty

No promised outcomes. Just careful listening and regular check ins on whether it is helping.

Fair fees

A sliding scale, so cost is not the reason someone stays away.
