What we do

Six kinds of help, mixed into one plan

Most families start with a few hours of personal care and companionship, then add nurse checks or night sitting as needs change.

01

Personal care

Help with washing, dressing, toileting and grooming, done slowly and privately, the way the person likes it.

How personal care works

02

Companionship

Conversation, a walk to the veranda, help to call a grandchild, someone to sit with through the long afternoon.

How companionship works

03

Medication reminders

Caregivers prompt and record doses from a pill organiser filled by the family or a nurse. We never change a prescription.

How medication reminders works

04

Visiting nurse checks

Registered nurses check blood pressure and blood sugar, dress wounds and change catheters as the client's doctor instructs.

How visiting nurse checks works

05

After a hospital stay

Short-term support for the first weeks back home from University of Uyo Teaching Hospital or any private hospital.

06

Night sitting

An awake caregiver through the night, so the family can sleep and someone is there for the bathroom trips.

The care plan builder

Sketch the week of care before anyone visits

Pick what would help, the days and the hours. The builder draws the week, lists what the caregiver will do at each visit and works out an example monthly fee. Bring it to the free assessment and we start from there.

ReviewDay 7

Supervising nurse visit. Moved the walk to after lunch when Papa has more energy.

How care begins

From the first call to a settled routine

  1. 1

    Call or WhatsApp

Tell the care office what is happening. We listen first and answer questions about fees and timing.

  2. 2

    Free assessment visit

A senior nurse visits the home within three working days, meets your parent and walks through the house for safety.

  3. 3

    Meet the caregiver

We introduce the lead caregiver and the relief caregiver before the first shift, with you present.

  4. 4

    First week check-in

The supervising nurse calls on day three and visits on day seven to adjust the plan.

  5. 5

    Monthly review

Every month we look at the visit log together and change hours or tasks if needs have changed.

Families in Uyo

What families tell us

Our mother would not accept help from strangers. Aniekan came twice a week at first, just to talk and cook with her. By the second month she was asking when he would come.

Ime, example client

I live in Port Harcourt and worried every day. Now I get a short message after every visit, and the nurse calls me when anything changes.

Uduak, example client

After Papa came home from the hospital, the night sitter meant my sister and I could finally sleep. The team was calm and respectful.
