Questions

Before the assessment

What happens at the assessment?

The nurse meets your parent, asks about their day, health and wishes, looks round the home for safety and talks through options and fees. It takes about an hour.

Do I need to be there?

A family member or someone your parent trusts should be there, in person or on a video call.

Can care start quickly?

Often within two to four days of the assessment. For hospital discharges we can sometimes start the next day.

Is it really free?

Yes, within Uyo. For nearby towns there is a small fee of ₦10,000, taken off the first invoice if you go ahead.

Prefer to talk first

Call or WhatsApp the care office. We are happy to answer questions with no obligation, and many families talk to us two or three times before deciding.
