Paying
How billing works
Monthly in advance
An invoice on the 25th for the coming month, with the visit log for the month just gone.
Bank transfer or POS
Pay by transfer to the account on the invoice, or by card at the care office on Ikot Ekpene Road.
Family members can split
We can send separate invoices to brothers and sisters who share the cost, each with their own portion.
Unused hours
Hours cancelled with 24 hours of notice are credited to the next month. Hospital admissions pause the plan.
HMOs and insurance
If you have health insurance
Some HMO plans and company health schemes contribute to nurse visits after a hospital stay. Cover depends entirely on the plan, and many plans do not cover caregiver hours at all.
We give you itemised invoices and visit notes for your claim and can speak to your HMO with your permission. We cannot promise that any claim will be paid, so we bill the family directly.
- Itemised invoices with nurse names and times
- Copies of visit notes for your HMO
- A letter confirming the care plan, on request
Questions
About fees
Is there a joining fee?
No. The assessment visit is free within Uyo and there is no registration or joining fee.
Do you charge for transport?
Not within Uyo. For visits to nearby towns a small daily travel fee is shown on your quote before you agree.
Do caregivers get tips?
Tips are never expected. If your family wants to thank the team, a note to the office is shared with them and counts in their review.
What notice do you need to stop care?
Two weeks for regular plans. If someone passes away or moves to a care home, we stop at once and refund unused days.
Start with a free assessment visit
A senior nurse comes to the home, meets the person you care for and the family, and talks through what would help. There is no charge within Uyo and no obligation.
