Ordering cakes
Questions about ordering cakes.
How far ahead do I need to order?
Five days for most cakes, ten days for three tiers or more, and three weeks for weddings.
Can I order by phone?
Yes, or on WhatsApp. The designer is quickest because it shows the price straight away.
Do you do same day cakes?
Our 4 inch bento cakes and 6 inch chocolate cakes are ready daily from 11am in the shop.
Can I see a sketch first?
Yes, every celebration cake gets a drawn sketch before we bake.
Payment
Questions about payment.
How do I pay?
Through Receivly by card or bank transfer, or POS and cash in the tea room.
Is there a deposit?
Fifty percent for cakes and dessert tables, thirty percent for afternoon tea.
When is the balance due?
Two days before delivery for cakes, a week before for dessert tables.
Can I get an invoice for my company?
Yes, with our company details and VAT shown.
Delivery
Questions about delivery.
Where do you deliver?
Across Lagos, from Ajah to Ikoyi and the Mainland, and Ogun State venues for dessert tables.
What time do you deliver?
From 7am. Island and Mainland deliveries leave by 6am to avoid traffic.
Who sets up the cake?
Our driver sets up tiered cakes at the venue and photographs them.
What if I am not home?
We can leave it with a named neighbour, security or the venue, never at a gate.
Allergies and diets
Questions about allergies and diets.
Do you make eggless cakes?
Yes, in vanilla, chocolate and tigernut.
Is your kitchen nut free?
No. We handle nuts, gluten, dairy and eggs, so we cannot promise a cake free of traces.
Do you use alcohol?
No. Our chapman sponge is alcohol free.
Are your colours natural?
Our zobo and chapman sponges use natural colour. Some bright buttercream colours use food colouring.
