Aircraft maintenance under way

Maintenance you can see

Our hangar runs 50 and 100 hour inspections in house. Each aircraft has a technical log you can read before you fly, and any defect grounds it until an engineer signs it off.

We keep two aircraft in reserve on busy weekends, so a snag does not cancel your lesson.

Power, fuel and weather

Fuel on site

A month of aviation fuel stored at the base, bought ahead so queues and price swings do not stop training.

Simulators on backup

Inverters carry the simulators through a grid cut, and the generator starts within a minute.

Weather desk

A duty instructor checks the forecast at 5am and messages every student before the bus leaves Ikoyi.

Safety officer

Every occurrence report is reviewed weekly, with lessons shared at the Monday briefing.

In the hangar

Questions people ask

Are the aircraft air conditioned?

The trainers are not, which is normal for light aircraft. We fly early in the day when it is cooler, and the cabin vents work well at height.

Can I book a specific aircraft?

For hour building, yes, through the student portal. During licence training your instructor chooses so you get the right equipment for each lesson.

See them for yourself.

Every discovery flight includes a walk around the hangar with an engineer.
