About the bureau
A small bureau with a long memory
Lingua Bureau was started in Owerri in 2015 by a conference interpreter who believed families, churches and companies deserved the same care as international meetings.

Our story
Adaeze Nwosu came home to Owerri in 2015 after years interpreting at regional conferences. Friends kept asking her the same favour: could she translate a birth certificate for an embassy, a letter for a university abroad, a contract from a Cameroonian buyer? The work was easy for her. Finding someone reliable, for everyone else, was not.
So she rented two rooms on Wetheral Road and opened a bureau with two colleagues and a simple promise: a fixed price before you send the file, a second pair of eyes on every page, and a stamp you can verify.
Ten years later the bureau has 112 linguists and interpreters, a voice booth for subtitles and voice-over, and clients from Port Harcourt law firms to village unions in Mbaise. The promise has not changed.
