Case note

Three 1998 lifts, a hotel that never closed

We modernised one car at a time over eleven weeks at the Harbour Crest Hotel. Guests always had two working lifts, and the night shift did the noisy work between 1am and 5am.

Letters

What facility managers write to us

Our tower had four lifts and a different excuse every week. Since Atlas took over, the logbook is signed, the cars level properly and residents have stopped calling me at night.

Facility manager, example client, Ikoyi

We are a hospital. A bed lift cannot be out. On Critical care we have had one fault in a year and it was fixed in forty minutes.

Head of works, example client, Surulere

The plan picker gave our board a clear number before the meeting. The engineer who did the survey is the one who now visits.

Before you call

Questions we hear every week

Do you maintain lifts you did not install?

Yes. Most lifts we keep were installed by someone else. We survey first, note what needs fixing, and give you a plan with no surprises.

What happens when the power goes off?

Without a rescue device, the car stops where it is. We fit automatic rescue devices that bring the car to the nearest floor and open the doors. Most of our Lagos sites now have one.

How do we pay?

Monthly or yearly by bank transfer, with a VAT invoice. Yearly contracts get 8 per cent off.

Can you work with our generator changeover?

Yes. We check how your changeover switch behaves and set the controller to ride through short drops safely.
