Power cuts

Most rescues start with a power cut

In Lagos, a lift usually stops between floors because the grid supply dropped and the generator has not yet taken over. An automatic rescue device senses the drop, moves the car slowly to the nearest floor on battery power and opens the doors.

It costs ₦18,000 a lift a month on lease, installed in a day. Since 2023 we fit one on every new lift and on every modernisation.

Questions

About callouts

Do non-contract buildings get rescues?

Yes. We always come for a trapped person. Callouts outside a contract are charged from ₦75,000.

How long does a rescue take?

Once on site, usually under fifteen minutes.

Will you fix the fault the same visit?

Most faults, yes. If a part is needed, we make the lift safe and return with it.
