A carpet woven for one room in the world
Choose the design, colours, size and quality. See it drawn as you choose, then our partner workshops weave it by hand.

Everything you change redraws the carpet. The price is an estimate at example rates; we confirm it after a colour strike-off.

Scene 02The process
From drawing to your floor
Week 1
Brief and measure
We visit, measure and photograph the room, and talk about light, furniture and how the room is used.
Weeks 2 to 4
Drawing
Our designer draws the carpet in full colour on a knot grid. You can change it as many times as you like.
Weeks 5 to 7
Colour strike-off
The workshop weaves a 30 by 30 cm sample in the real wool and dyes. You approve it in your own room.
Months 2 to 16
Weaving
Two to four weavers tie the carpet. We send photographs from the loom every month to your account.
Final month
Wash and place
The finished carpet is washed, stretched, flown to Lagos and placed by our crew.
Scene 03Who weaves it
Weavers we know by name
Bespoke carpets are woven by three of our partner workshops, chosen for the commission. The weavers are paid an agreed rate per square metre in stages, so the work is never rushed to meet a sale.
For a 250 by 350 cm carpet at about 45 knots per square centimetre, that is close to four million knots, each one tied and cut by hand.

About bespoke
Can you copy a carpet I have seen?
We do not copy another maker's design. We can draw an original carpet in the same spirit and palette.
What if the finished carpet differs from the drawing?
Small variations are part of hand weaving. If it differs from the approved strike-off in colour or size beyond 2 percent, we rework or refund.
How are payments staged?
30 percent to begin, 40 percent when weaving reaches half way, and the rest on delivery. All through Receivly.
Can I visit the loom?
Some clients do. We can arrange it with the workshop, travel at your cost.
