Local tips

Getting around without losing the day

When is traffic worst?

Weekdays from 6:30am to 10am towards the island and from 4pm to 8pm away from it. Friday evenings are the slowest of the week.

Should I hire a driver?

For more than two meetings a day, yes. We can arrange a vetted driver and car from ₦45,000 a day, fuel extra.

Is it safe to walk around?

Ikoyi and parts of Victoria Island are pleasant to walk in daylight. Elsewhere, short rides are easier. Our guest line can advise on your exact street.

Which area is closest to the airport?

Ikoyi, followed by Victoria Island. Allow at least ninety minutes from Lekki at rush hour.
