Questions, answered gently

The things people ask us most, in plain words. Search, or filter by topic. If your question is not here, a nurse will answer it on WhatsApp.

Getting started

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly. If your doctor has written a letter, please bring it.

When should we seek help?

Many doctors suggest after a year of trying, or six months if the woman is over 35, or sooner if cycles are irregular or there is a known concern. You are welcome to come earlier simply to understand your fertility.

Can I come alone?

Yes. Many women come alone for a first conversation, including for egg freezing questions.

Do you see people from outside Enugu?

Yes. First conversations and plan meetings can be by video. Tests and treatment happen at the centre.

Treatment

Will you tell us our chances?

Your doctor will talk honestly about what your own results mean. We do not quote general success rates, because each person is different.

Do you name the medicines you use?

Your doctor prescribes any medicines privately after a consultation. We do not list prescription medicines on this site.

How many visits does IVF take?

Usually eight to twelve over four to six weeks, mostly early in the morning.

Can we pause between treatments?

Yes, for as long as you need. Your file stays open.

Money

Are your fees fixed?

Every fee is written on a fee sheet before treatment. We ask before adding anything.

Do HMOs pay?

Many plans cover consultations and some tests; few cover treatment. We check your cover free of charge.

Can we pay in instalments?

Yes, most plans can be spread over three or six months after a deposit.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer, POS at the desk, or an invoice to your employer.

Privacy and support

Who sees my results?

Only your care team. Results are shared in person or by phone, never by text.

Is counselling included?

One session comes with every treatment plan, and drop-in time is free on weekdays from 12pm to 2pm.

What is the support circle?

An informal monthly gathering for anyone on the journey, on the first Saturday at 11am. Speaking is never required.

Can my faith leader come with us?

Yes, if you wish. We respect every faith and will explain options in a way that honours your beliefs.

Why some answers are short

A word on honesty

Some questions, such as how likely treatment is to work for you, can only be answered after a conversation and the right tests. We would rather say that clearly than offer a number that does not fit you.

We also keep medicines and doses off this website. Those are decided privately with your doctor, who knows your history and can explain each one.

Everything else, from parking to payment plans, we are happy to answer in as much detail as you like.
