The story
Why we built the Savanna
The Savanna is the car most of our owners buy, and the one on the turntable on our front page. It is a family car first: wide doors for child seats, a flat floor in the back, a boot that takes four suitcases and a cooler.
Underneath it is built for our weather. The 72 kWh pack is sealed and tested in standing water, the suspension has long travel for broken roads, and the wading depth of 500 mm is printed on the door sill so you never have to guess.
With the Home Link box, a full Savanna can run the essentials in a home for about three days when the grid goes.

Questions people ask
How deep can the Savanna drive through water?
500 mm, measured to the door sill marker. That said, flooded roads hide holes: we always advise caution.
Does Home Link damage the battery?
No. Home Link stops at 20 percent so you always have enough to drive to a hub, and the warranty covers home use.
Can I tow with it?
Yes, up to 1,500 kg with the factory tow bar, which cuts range by about a third while towing.
Where can I see a Savanna?
At the Ajah studio every day except Sunday, and at Victoria Island, Abuja and Port Harcourt by appointment. We can also bring one to your home or office for a test drive.
