An electric car maker that started with a broken generator

The founders, two engineers who grew up between Ajah and Ikorodu, were tired of three things: fuel queues, generator fumes and imported cars that did not suit our roads. They started by converting delivery bikes, then a single van for a bakery in Sangotedo.

The bakery van ran for two years with almost no repairs. Word spread. In 2021 the first Kora prototype drove from Ajah to Ibadan and back on one charge, and in 2023 the assembly hall opened off Abraham Adesanya roundabout.

We design every car in Lagos and assemble it in Ajah. Battery cells and motors are imported. Seats, glass, wiring looms, wheels and much of the trim come from 38 Nigerian suppliers.

We are still a young company. We publish our real range figures, our prices and our recalls, because trust is the only thing that sells a new kind of car.
