Why remittance goes wrong

Most penalties come from three things: paying late, paying the wrong administrator, and schedules that do not match the money sent. All three are easy to fix with a routine.

The monthly checklist

Check new starters have a pension number and administrator. Run payroll. Export one schedule per administrator. Pay each one. Upload the receipt. Do it by the 7th of the next month.

Most pension penalties come from routines, not rules. Fix the routine and the penalties stop.

New starters without a pension number

Deduct from their first salary anyway, hold it separately, and remit once the number arrives. Do not skip the deduction.

Changes of administrator

When someone moves, update the record before the run, not after. Ledgerwise asks for the effective month so the schedule goes to the right place.

Keeping proof

Keep every receipt for at least six years. Ledgerwise stores them against the month, so an auditor can see the money, the schedule and the proof together.
