Coatings compared
Which finish should you choose?
Primer and enamel
Two coats over a zinc phosphate primer. The right choice for dry, covered interiors such as warehouses away from the coast.
Repaint in about 8 to 10 years. Lowest cost.
Epoxy system
A high-build epoxy with a polyurethane top coat for factories, cold rooms and anywhere with fumes, washing or condensation.
Repaint in about 12 to 15 years. Around 8% more.
Hot-dip galvanised
Dipped in molten zinc after fabrication. Best for tank stands, canopies and gates that live in the rain.
25 years or more before first maintenance. Around 18% more.

- Structural calculations by registered engineers, with drawings for your planning approval
- Mill certificates for the steel we buy, kept on file for 10 years
- Weld inspection on every connection and ultrasonic testing on critical welds
- Friday progress photos on WhatsApp, from first cut to final bolt
- Site insurance, crane lift plans and a safety officer on every erection
- A 10 year structural warranty and a free one year bolt check
Questions
Before you ask for a quote
Do you work outside Ibadan?
Yes. Most of our work is in Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Lagos, and we have erected in Abuja, Kwara and Edo. Haulage is priced by distance in the estimator.
Can you build from another engineer’s drawings?
Yes. We check them, raise any questions in writing and produce our own shop drawings for your engineer to approve before fabrication starts.
How do payments work?
Usually 50% on approved drawings so we can buy steel, 40% on delivery to site and 10% at handover. Bank transfer or POS at our office.
Do you do the foundations?
We set out and supply holding-down bolts and templates, and can recommend civil contractors. Many clients use their own builder for the concrete.
