Christian funerals
A Christian farewell, with your church
From the first call to the thanksgiving service, we work alongside your parish priest or pastor. Catholic, Anglican, Baptist and Pentecostal families all trust us, and we follow the order of service your church keeps.
The steps
How the days usually unfold
Every family is different. This is the usual order; we will follow yours.
- I
First call and transfer
We bring your person into our care, from home or hospital, with a short prayer if the family wishes.
- II
Care and preparation
Embalming with your consent, dressing in clothes you choose, and a viewing room for close family.
- III
Meeting the family and church
We agree dates with your minister, and help with the obituary, programme and announcements.
- IV
Wake keeping and service of songs
Usually the evening before. We provide canopies, chairs, lighting and a generator at the family house or church grounds.
- V
Funeral service and interment
Hearse, pallbearers, flowers, and burial at the cemetery or on family land.
- VI
Thanksgiving
Many families hold a thanksgiving service the following Sunday. We can arrange chairs and canopies again.

Questions
Questions families ask
How long can we wait before the funeral?
As long as your family needs. With care in our refrigerated rooms, many Christian families hold the funeral two to six weeks after the death, so relatives can travel.
Can the service be in our home town?
Yes. We transport your person by refrigerated hearse anywhere in Nigeria and coordinate with a funeral home there if needed.
Do you supply hymn books or choirs?
We can print hymns in the programme and connect you with choirs, but the order of service is set by your church.
We are here, day and night
Call us at any hour. A member of our team answers, not a machine, and there is never any pressure to decide anything on the first call.
