Changes
Holidays, rain and fuel
Fixed days stay fixed most weeks. When they move, you hear from us first.
Heavy rain
When roads in Lafenwa or Totoro flood, the truck waits until the water drops, usually by noon. We send a WhatsApp broadcast to the estate before 7am.
Fuel and breakdowns
Two spare trucks stand by at the yard. If one breaks down, a spare takes over the route the same day. Your bin should not wait beyond 24 hours.
Good habits
Putting bins out
- By 6am at the gate. Crews start early to beat traffic on Ibara Road and Lalubu. Bins put out late may be missed.
- Lid closed, bags tied. Open bins attract goats, dogs and rats. A closed lid also keeps rain out, which keeps the weight down.
- Recyclables in the amber bag only on recyclables day. Mixed bags go to general waste, which wastes your effort.
- Glass in the crate, never the bag. Broken glass in a bag cuts hands. The crate keeps the crew safe.
- Nothing burning, nothing hot. Ashes must be cold for a full day. Hot ash has set two trucks on fire in Nigeria this year.
Missed
The truck did not come?
Tell us before 6pm and the crew returns within 24 hours, free of charge.
Use the missed pickup form on the contact page, or send your estate and house number on WhatsApp. Our dispatcher sees the truck's GPS log and replies with a time.
