How it is made
Silk faille, hand-set train, 140 hours of handwork.
The Obsidian gown began as a sketch on the back of a fabric invoice. We wanted a dress that would read as one clean line from across a hall at the Eko waterfront and still reward anyone who came close: the inside seams are bound in mint silk, the hem is weighted with a chain stitched by hand, and the train detaches with hidden hooks so you can dance after the speeches.
Every piece carries a woven label with the initials of the person who finished it and the date it left the studio.

Questions about this look
Can the train be shortened?
Yes. The train is set by hand at the second fitting, so it can be anywhere from floor length to two metres.
Is it warm to wear in Lagos?
Faille is crisp rather than heavy, and the organza lining breathes. Most clients wear it outdoors for evening events without trouble.
Can it be made in another colour?
We cut it in black and in our house mint. Other colours are possible from the bespoke service.
