Leave on time
Doors close 15 minutes before departure. If we are late, we tell you why and what we are doing about it.
Zenara began in 2016 with two jets and one rule: leave when we say we will. Ten years on, we fly 14 cities and still publish our on-time record every month.
Zenara Air is a privately owned Nigerian airline with its head office and training centre in Ajah. We fly short routes well: Lagos to the major cities of Nigeria and the nearest capitals of West Africa.
Our fleet is 12 twin-engine jets with an average age of six years, maintained by our own engineering team in Lagos to the national aviation regulator's standards and audited every year.
We believe flying should feel calm: clear prices, honest delays, staff who can make decisions at the gate, and a phone line that answers.

Each has a number we report in our monthly service update.

Gate staff can rebook, upgrade or arrange a hotel without calling a manager.
Newer jets, single-engine taxiing and electric ground vehicles cut fuel per seat by 14 percent since 2021.
Every Zenara pilot flies a full simulator check twice a year, and every jet has a daily check before the first flight. Our safety team reports directly to the board, and any staff member can stop a flight without blame.
We hold an air operator certificate from the national regulator and an international operational safety audit registration (example details).
We train cabin crew, engineers and pilots in Ajah. Applications open twice a year.
Eight-week paid training, then flying across Nigeria and West Africa.
Apprenticeships with our licensed engineers, leading to a licence.
A sponsored cadet scheme with a partner flight school, bonded to Zenara.
