Surgery and dentistry

Careful surgery, with every step explained

Handing your pet over for an operation is a big moment. We keep it calm: a pre-op check, monitored anaesthesia, a nurse by their side as they wake, and a photo on WhatsApp as soon as they are up.

Surgery day

Timed to miss the traffic

Drop off before the morning rush and collect before the evening one.

  1. Drop off

No food from 10pm the night before, water is fine. A nurse checks you in and confirms your contact number.

  2. Pre-op check and bloods

We check heart and lungs and run a quick blood screen to make sure anaesthesia is safe.

  3. Surgery

Heart rate, oxygen and temperature are monitored throughout. The theatre runs on inverter power, never on a flickering line.

  4. Wake up and a photo

A nurse stays with your pet as they wake and sends you a photo on WhatsApp.

  5. Collect and go home

We go through aftercare, medicine and the cone, and book the check up in three days.

Dentistry

Healthy mouths, happier pets

Most dogs and cats over three have some gum disease. It hurts quietly, so pets keep eating and owners rarely notice. A proper clean under anaesthetic is the only way to clean below the gum line where the trouble starts.

  • Free dental check with every consult
  • Full charting and photos sent to you
  • Gentle home brushing lesson at collection
  • Signs to watch: bad breath, dropping food, chewing on one side

Safety

How we keep anaesthesia safe

01

Pre-op bloods

A quick screen spots hidden kidney or liver problems before we start.

02

Fluids and warmth

A drip and a heated mat keep blood pressure and temperature steady.

03

Dedicated nurse

One trained nurse watches the monitor and nothing else during surgery.

04

Backed up power

Inverter, solar and generator, so a power cut never interrupts the theatre.
