The season

When we buy, when we ship

Cashew is bought from February to May and sesame from October to January. Kernels ship all year from our processing partner in Ilorin.

How a container leaves Nigeria

Farm to vessel in six steps

  1. Buying points

    Farmers sell at 38 buying points near their villages, paid by transfer the same day.

  2. Lab test

    Every lot is tested for moisture, outturn or purity before it moves.

  3. Ilorin warehouse

    Dried, cleaned, bagged and fumigated in our 9,000 tonne store.

  4. Stuffing

    Containers are loaded and sealed in Ilorin, watched by your inspector if you wish.

  5. Trucking

    Escorted trucks to Apapa or Tin Can Island, tracked by GPS.

  6. Documents

    Bill of lading, certificates of origin, quality and plant health, sent the day the vessel sails.
