Who can join?
Anyone living in Rivers State, from birth to 80. Over 80, family members on a Senior plan renew for life.
How long until I can use it?
Emergencies and GP care from day one. See waiting periods on the plans page.
Do you check my health first?
We ask a few questions in the welcome call. Most members need no exam.
Paying
How can I pay?
Card or bank transfer through Receivly, monthly, quarterly or yearly.
What if I miss a payment?
You have 14 days of grace. After that cover pauses until the payment is made.
Can my employer pay?
Yes, through Meridian Business.
Using the plan
Do I need to call before a visit?
No. The hospital calls us for the code.
Can I change my GP clinic?
Yes, once a quarter in the member area.
Are medicines covered?
Medicines on the plan list are covered at partner pharmacies.
Maternity
When is maternity covered?
After 12 months on Silver and Family, 10 months on Gold.
Are scans covered?
Antenatal scans are covered at maternity partners.
Complaints
How do I complain?
Tell us in the chat, by email or by phone. A manager replies within 3 working days.
Can I ask for a review of a refused code?
Yes, a Meridian doctor reviews every request within 48 hours.
