Our story
Meridian Health began in 2014 in a two room office on Forces Avenue, Old GRA. Its founders were a GP, a theatre nurse and an accountant who had watched too many families pay cash for care they could not afford, or wait days for an approval.
Today we look after 38,000 members across Rivers State, with a network of 43 hospitals, clinics, labs and pharmacies, a care team on the line day and night and authorisations answered in about 11 minutes.
