Orthopaedic hospital · GRA, Onitsha
Bones, joints, spine and sports injuries, cared for by one team from first X-ray to last physiotherapy session. We explain every option, start with the least invasive, and show you what recovery usually looks like before you decide.
Fracture and injury desk open 24 hours. Most HMOs accepted with pre-authorisation.
Find your clinic
Pain rarely arrives with a name. Point to it and we will point you to the right people.
Where does it hurt?
Choose the area that bothers you most. We will show the common causes we see, the clinic that looks after it and what a first visit involves. This is a guide, not a diagnosis.

Choose a procedure to see what the weeks and months after surgery usually look like. Everyone heals differently, so these are typical ranges, never promises.
A physiotherapist helps you stand on the day after surgery, often sooner. You practise walking with a frame, bending the knee and getting in and out of bed. Most people go home on day three or four.
Focus: Bend to 90 degrees, straighten fully, walk to the toilet safely.
You walk with two sticks, then one. Swelling and stiffness are normal, worse in the evening. Daily exercises matter more than anything else in this phase. Stitches or clips are checked at about two weeks.
Focus: Exercises three times a day, ice and elevate, short walks indoors and out.
Many people stop using sticks around six weeks. Driving may be possible once you can do an emergency stop and your surgeon agrees. Desk work often resumes in this window.
Focus: Stationary bike, step ups, longer walks, balance work.
Stairs, shopping and church or mosque visits feel more normal. Some swelling can last for months. Kneeling may stay uncomfortable for a long time.
Focus: Strength and endurance, gentle swimming once the wound has fully healed.
The knee keeps improving for up to a year. You have a review with X-ray at about one year, then less often.
Focus: Keep active: walking, cycling, swimming, golf. Avoid high impact running.

Your path with us
Book online, call, or send a WhatsApp message. Tell us your HMO if you have one and we start pre-authorisation the same day.
A 40 minute first consultation with examination. X-ray and ultrasound are on site, so most people leave with answers on the same visit.
Physiotherapy, weight management, bracing and injections come first wherever they are sensible. Surgery is one option, not the default.
You join our pre-surgery school, get a written cost estimate and a recovery plan with dates, and meet the physiotherapist who will see you on the ward.
Physiotherapy starts on the ward and continues in our gym. Follow-up reviews are booked before you go home.
Under one roof
Our building on Park Lane was planned around the way orthopaedic care actually happens. Digital X-ray and ultrasound sit beside the clinics. Two laminar flow theatres share a recovery bay. The physiotherapy gym is on the ground floor so new joints do not meet stairs on day one.

They showed me the recovery chart before I agreed to anything. Knowing that stairs might take six weeks meant I planned my shop hours properly instead of worrying.
My son tore his ligament playing football. The physio sessions on Saturdays fitted round school, and the team explained every stage to him, not just to me.
Paying for care
We give a written estimate before any procedure. Self-pay patients can spread planned surgery over three instalments.
