Secondary ready
Ready for the next school
In Upper Elementary children prepare for secondary school entrance tests with weekly practice papers from the start of their final year, timed and marked, so the format is familiar. Most of our leavers go on to well known secondary schools in Uyo, Calabar and further afield.
Just as important, they leave able to plan a project, speak in front of a group, manage their time and look after younger children. Secondary teachers tell us they can spot a Crestwood child in the first week.

What a week includes
- Daily work cycle with lessons in small groups
- French twice a week and Ibibio songs and stories
- Coding, chess and swimming clubs
- A going-out trip each term: the museum, a farm, the airport
- Class meetings where children solve problems together

Parents ask
Do Elementary children wear uniform?
Yes, the same polo shirt and navy shorts or skirt, with a cardigan in the harmattan.
How are children assessed?
Teachers record progress every week and write a full report each term, with work samples.
Is there a computer room?
Children use tablets and laptops for research in small groups, with screen time kept short.
