About
Crestwood opened in 2014 in a house on Ikot Ekpene Road with nine children. Today 186 children learn in purpose-built classrooms around a garden. Example history for this demo.
The method
Everything is child sized and within reach, so children can choose and tidy up on their own.
Children choose their work, and learn to respect others and the materials.
Teachers observe, then show each child the next step, one to one or in small groups.
A three hour work cycle each morning lets children concentrate deeply.
