The play visit
What happens on the morning in class
Your child spends a morning in the classroom with a parent nearby for the first half hour. The teacher watches how they choose work, play with others and settle. There are no tests and nothing to prepare.
For Elementary we also read together and try a little maths with the beads, simply to see where to begin. Afterwards the head meets you for twenty minutes to talk about what the teacher saw.
Paperwork
What to bring
- Your child's birth certificate or passport
- Immunisation record
- Two passport photographs
- The last school report, for Elementary
- Proof of address for the bus route
Questions
About admissions
Is there an entrance exam?
No. For Toddler and Children's House we use the play visit. For Elementary we read and do a little maths together, to know where to start.
Can my child join mid-year?
Yes, if a place is free. The planner shows places for each term.
Do you take children with additional needs?
We welcome many children with additional needs. Tell us at the visit so we can plan honestly together.
How soon will we hear back?
Within five working days of the play visit.
