Questions
Asked at our desk
Can I import an older car?
Vehicle age rules change from time to time. Send us the VIN and we will check what applies before you pay.
How is vehicle duty worked out?
On the customs value of the vehicle, with duty, a levy and VAT. Our estimator shows an example.
Do you clear through Cotonou?
No. We clear only at Nigerian terminals, so every charge has a receipt.
How long does it take?
About four to seven days from arrival in Lagos, then a day to reach Owerri.
Still unsure?
Send a photo of your supplier invoice on WhatsApp. A desk officer will tell you the duty band, the documents you need and the likely cost, usually within the hour.
