Before we arrive

What we need from you

A little preparation keeps drilling to the planned days.

Clear access

A gate at least 3.5 m wide and a firm path for a 20 tonne rig.

Water for drilling

About 5,000 litres for mud rotary. We can bring a water tanker at cost.

Someone on site

A person who can open the gate and agree the spot each morning.

Plot documents

Proof of ownership or a letter from the owner for the permit.

Distance from soakaways

At least 30 m from any septic tank or soakaway, we check this at survey.

Daylight hours

We drill from 7am to 6pm and stop for prayer times on request.

Reporting

You get the evidence

Every borehole comes with a drilling log showing each layer, the depth of water strikes, casing and screen positions and the pumping test curve. Keep it, because whoever services the borehole later will need it.
