About
Water engineers from Kano
Aquabore was started in 2012 by a hydrogeologist who was tired of seeing families pay for boreholes that failed every dry season. We still survey first, drill deep and test before we leave.
Our story
Drilled properly, once
Our founder spent years on government water projects across the North West and kept being called to fix shallow boreholes drilled without a survey.
Aquabore began with one rented rig and a resistivity meter on Zaria Road. Today we run three rigs, a treatment workshop and a small pump repair bay, and we still answer the phone ourselves.
Most of our work comes from neighbours of past clients, which tells us the water is still running.

How we work
Four commitments
Written into every quote.
Survey first
We do not drill blind in basement rock. The survey report comes before the quote.
Drill below the dry season
Every borehole is drilled and pumped to survive the end of harmattan.
Test before handover
Yield test and lab test results are yours to keep.
Stand behind it
12 month workmanship guarantee and a 24 hour pump line.

- Pump test kit and water sampling kits
Training local crews
Each year we train ten young people from Kano as drill helpers and pump technicians, with paid placements on our rigs.
Know what is under your plot before you drill
A geophysical survey costs ₦85,000 and is deducted from your drilling price if you go ahead.
