Running order

How the night runs

Times can move by up to 15 minutes on the night. Changes appear on the live strip and in your account.

    Food court opens. The band plays as you find your seat.

  2. Host: Chidi Okeke

    Warm up and the first round of crowd work.

  3. Tobenna D

    Twenty minutes on traffic, in-laws and the price of everything.

  4. Oge Mmadu

    Thirty minutes of the market woman characters people quote all year.

  5. Buchi Ekwe

    The headline set, about 50 minutes, then the band plays you out.

About Buchi Ekwe, Oge Mmadu and Tobenna D

Laugh Onitsha started in a 300 seat hall in 2021 and now fills the arena twice a year. The December edition always sells out, so book early.

Buchi Ekwe headlines with a new hour about moving back home from Lagos. Oge Mmadu brings the characters, and Tobenna D opens with the fastest twenty minutes in comedy.

Park on site

Car parks A and B open 2 hours before doors. Book for ₦3,000 at checkout.

Night shuttle

Seats to Upper Iweka, Awka Road and Asaba after the show, ₦2,500. Ends 11:00pm, first shuttle 15 minutes later.

Questions about this show

Can I bring my teenager?

The show is for 16 and over. There is some strong language and adult humour.

Will I be picked on in the front rows?

Possibly. The comedians are kind, but the front three rows are part of the show.

Can I record the show?

Please do not. The comedians test new material and recording is not allowed. Phones are fine for photos before the show.
