How shore days work
Off the ship, back for dinner
Meet on the pier
Your host waits at the bottom of the gangway with a flag and the group list. No queues, no tickets to print.
Small groups, local guides
Twelve guests or fewer, in air-conditioned buses, with a guide who grew up in that town.
Water, snacks and a first aid kit
Every bus carries cold water, a snack box and a trained first aider. Tell us about any health needs.
Back with time to spare
We plan to be back an hour before all aboard. If an Elysian excursion runs late, the ship waits.

About excursions
Can I explore on my own?
Of course. Our hosts give you a map, a phone number and the all aboard time. In some ports we suggest a guide for your first visit.
What if I need to cancel an excursion?
Cancel up to 48 hours before the port day for a full refund to your card or account.
Are excursions suitable for wheelchair users?
Several are, marked Easy. Tell us your needs and we will arrange an adapted vehicle where the port allows.
Do I need cash ashore?
Some small change for markets is useful. Our hosts can change naira to CFA, cedi or dollars at guest services.
