Zainab Musa and the Late Bloom
Organ, guitar and a voice that fills the room on Friday nights.
Chapter IIAbout
Soul jazz on Fridays
Zainab Musa sings soul jazz with an organ trio she calls the Late Bloom, because they all came to music after other careers. Friday nights have two sets: the early one is warm and gentle, the late one gets the room moving. Her originals sit alongside soul classics rearranged for organ and guitar.
