Bayo Adekunle Quartet

Tenor saxophone, fast changes and a rhythm section that never lets up.

Chapter IIAbout

Hard bop on Thursdays

Bayo Adekunle moved to Kaduna from Ibadan for a teaching job and never left. His quartet plays hard bop with fire: tenor saxophone out front, a pianist who loves a surprise chord and a rhythm section that pushes the tempo every chorus. Thursday nights are loud, fast and joyful, and the solos are long enough to lose yourself in.
