Chapter IIISound

Tuned for acoustic jazz

The walls are lined with wooden slats over wool, the ceiling has cloth baffles and the stage sits on a floating floor. The result: a drum kit that does not drown a voice, and a double bass you can hear note by note from the balcony.

  • A tuned upright piano, serviced every month
  • A small, quiet sound system mixed from the back of the room
  • Solar and inverter backup, so the music never stops for a power cut
